Row Over Row
Row Over Row
Funny: What do you make of RaGa watching the
Republic Day function from 6th row?
Punny: Pettiness on display from the ruling party
F: They wasted an opportunity to treat opposition
leader with respect and dignity
P:Perhaps it was NaMo’s way of showing RaGa his
place!
F: It left congressmen fuming
P: ‘Ran’ with ‘deep’ concern to press was Randeep
Surjewala accusing the ruling party of cheap politics
F: Relying solely on protocol, forgetting tradition,
the government is in no mood for subtleties
P: Allotting front-row seat to RaGa would have
earned NaMo lot of goodwill
F: By the same logic, Congress could have ignored
the dirty trick of the government
P: Yes, both parties are equally guilty of childish
behavior
F: From a pretender RaGa has become a serious
contender
P:He has shrugged off the tag of a reluctant player
to be an enthusiastic one since his elevation
F: Such is the power of power, Punny, forgive the
pun!
Row over row is as irrelevant as the row itself! Both
parties lost out – if BJP failed to show magnanimity Congress failed in being
magnanimous enough to ignore. Battle lines are clearly drawn with neither
willing to yield an inch as we inch towards 2019 which is when the ‘row’ really
matters.
