Budget V\s Da Vinci Code
Budget V\s Da Vinci Code
Funny and Punny were
deep in discussion, trying to decipher, decode and digest the annual ritual
called budget.
Funny: It will ‘kick-start’
the economy
Punny: Of-course, you
need a ‘kick’ to start
F: Which the middle
income group got – no change in personal tax slab
P: Don’t get ‘personal’,
it’s just a ‘slap’...errr...’slab’
F: Our rural folks
got a windfall in ‘minimum support price’
P: But they need ‘maximum
support’
F: It is all about revival of rural economy
P: It is all about our survival, stupid!
F: It is all about revival of rural economy
P: It is all about our survival, stupid!
F: Market is down
P: Disagree. Go to
any vegetable or fish market – they are all up! You don’t make sense(x)!
F: Huge funds
allocated for ‘healthcare’
P: Still trying to ‘locate’
these ‘allocations’
F: Fiscal deficit
pegged at 3.3% of GDP
P: What? Don’t try to
get ‘physical’ with me
F: Long term capital
gains tax makes a re-entry, a worry
P: Well, for someone
with no capital, much less gain, why worry
F: Customs and excise
duties up
P: It is after all a ‘custom’ary
‘ex(er)cise’
Jarred by these ‘jarGUNS’,
even after an hour and half of deep discussion on budget which any way is a ‘modi’fied
version of bygone ‘con’gress era, F&P found out they were where they were,
confused as ever, yet to figure out which was more ‘taxing’ and ‘complicated’ –
budget or the Da Vinci Code?
